In a shocking incident, an elderly farmer broke a wire fence in his orchard in Umrala taluka of Bhavnagar district, grazing around 30 cattle in standing cotton crops, causing a loss of around Rs 70,000. The headstrong men abused the old man and threatened to kill him as soon as he asked him to take the cattle out of the field. According to the details of the incident, 68-year-old farmer Babubhai Kalubhai Navadiya, a resident of Dhola village, was present at his orchard last evening. At that time, his family brother called and informed him that Bharat Togabhai Galani and Vipul Amrabhai Galani of the village were grazing around 30 cattle on the cotton crop sown in their 'Naliawala' field. Babubhai immediately called Bharat Galani and asked him, who rudely said, "My cattle are going to graze in your field." Crop damage worth Rs 70,000 and death threats
When Babubhai reached his farm immediately, he found that Bharat and Vipul had broken the wire fencing of the field and pushed around 30 cattle inside. The cattle had caused a huge loss of around Rs 70,000 by mixing with standing cotton crops. As soon as Babubhai asked him to take out the cattle, the two men got angry and abused him and threatened to kill him if he told anyone about it. A complaint was lodged at Umrala police station.
At the time of the incident, the family brother intervened and tried to convince the two men, but they fled the spot while shouting abuses. Babubhai Navadiya lodged a complaint at Umrala police station and the police registered a case against Bharat Galani and Vipul Galani under various sections of the BNS as well as the GP Act and further legal action is underway.
