The Surat Municipal Corporation is going to add a new dimension to the tourism sector of the city. The 'Dumas Sea-Face Development Project' (Package-01) at the famous Dumas Beach in Surat is going to be inaugurated tomorrow, Sunday, 8th March 2026. Earlier, the project was to be inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, but due to a change in the program, the responsibility has now been entrusted to Navsari MP and Union Minister CR Patel. Patil has been handed over. The public function will be held at 4:30 pm on Sunday near the Dumas Darya Ganesha Temple. Development works worth Rs 920 crore
In this programme, development works worth crores of rupees will be announced not only for Dumas Sea-face but for the entire Surat city, wherein projects in various zones worth approximately Rs. 673.12 crore will be unveiled to the public. The foundation stone of the upcoming projects will be laid at an estimated cost of Rs 247.80 crore. Features of Dumas C-Face
The Sea Face has been developed with the aim of making Dumas Beach an international tourist destination. It includes walkways, seating arrangements, beautiful landscaping and modern facilities for tourists. These projects will boost tourism in Surat and local employment will also increase.
