4 youths drown in river in Surendranagar, couple killed after being hit by car near Keshod

Gujarat News: Tragic incidents of road accidents and drownings have been reported from different parts of Gujarat. Four youths from Rajasthan drowned while bathing in a river near Wadhwan in Surendranagar. On the other hand, horrific road accidents have taken place in Keshod in Junagadh and Vyaswadi area of Ahmedabad, the CCTV footage of which has also come to light.

4 youths drowned in Umiya river in Nagara village of Wadhwan

Four youths from Rajasthan drowned while bathing in the Umiya river in Nagara village of Wadhwan taluka of Surendranagar district. Five friends working in a local solar plant had come to Nagra from Morbi. He was going to visit Somnath Mahadev after bathing here

One of the five friends was bathing on the bank of the river, while the other four drowned after falling into the deep waters of the river. Local villagers and swimmers rushed to the spot as soon as the youth sitting on the shore screamed. Local swimmers searched the river and fished out the bodies of the four youths. On being informed about the incident, the Jorawarnagar police reached the spot and sent the bodies to Gandhi Hospital in Surendranagar for post-mortem. The tragedy, which took place before going to Somnath, has caused a lot of grief among the family and friends of the deceased

Husband and wife on moped die after being hit by a car near Keshod

A heart-wrenching road accident has occurred near Keshod in Junagadh. The husband and wife were crossing the road on a moped from a petrol pump when a car coming at full speed hit them from behind. The collision was so fierce that the husband and wife were thrown into the air and fell on the road

The husband and wife, who were seriously injured in the accident, died on the spot. The entire incident has been captured on a nearby CCTV camera. Police have registered a case against the driver of the car on the basis of CCTV footage and are conducting further legal investigation

  Accident between rickshaw and Activa in Ahmedabad's Vyaswadi

A road accident has also been reported near the Vyaswadi crossroads in Ahmedabad city. Here, a rickshaw driver suddenly took a U-turn on the wrong side and collided with an Activa driver coming from the opposite direction at full speed. The driver of the Activa sustained serious injuries in the accident. CCTV footage of the incident has also come out, on the basis of which the police have started further investigation
