Google Maps has two new features, now you can ask the way by speaking with the help of AI.

Google Maps:  Tech giant Google on Thursday announced a major change to its digital map platform Google Maps.   It said the service will now use AI more to help people plan their trips and provide better ways to get there. The change, powered by Google's Gemini technology, will add two new AI-based features to Maps. More than 2 billion people worldwide use this service.

Google Maps includes two new features

The

first feature, is "Ask Maps", which will give users suggestions in a conversation style. It will allow users to ask for information such as the nearest mobile charging station, a less crowded café or a detailed itinerary for a multi-stop road trip. The company said Gemini's suggestions will be based on a database of over 30 crore destinations and reviews from over 50 crore users. The "Ask Maps" feature will initially be available on the Google Maps mobile app for iPhone and Android users in the US and India. Later it will be rolled out to the computer site and other countries.

With the help of

immersive navigation, you will get 3D view

Another new feature is "Immersive Navigation," which Google describes as the biggest change to Maps' driving directions. This feature allows users to view 3-dimensional views. This will provide a better understanding of the route. The 3D view, created by Gemini, will also show major buildings, road dividers, and the surrounding terrain, making it easier for drivers to navigate. This facility will also highlight the advantages and disadvantages of different routes to reach a single destination.

facility will also provide information about suitable parking locations upon arrival at the destination. Google said its AI security framework has become so robust that Gemini technology can now prevent problems such as showing false or non-existent locations. The new AI-based guidance feature will currently be available in the U.S. via the Google Maps mobile app and vehicles equipped with CarPlay and Android Auto.
