Keeping in view the fact that non-agricultural (NA) clearance of land during the land acquisition process adversely affects the project and puts additional financial burden on the accompanying entity, the Department of Revenue has formulated a new procedure for grant of non-agricultural permission under Section 65 of the Land Revenue Act for lands falling under land acquisition. The circular also mentions changes in the NIC software as follows:
Necessary modifications in the software will have to be carried out by the State Monitoring Cell (S.M.C.) through the N.I.C. for implementation of this mechanism.
