Gujarat Rain Forecast: Moderate rainfall forecast for next 7 days
Moderate rainfall has been forecast during the next seven days despite the fact that four weather systems are active simultaneously in Gujarat. At present, monsoon trough, cyclonic circulation, western disturbance and another trough are active over the state. However, the Meteorological Department has not made any major forecast of heavy rainfall. Winds are currently blowing from southwest to westerly in the state. So far, Gujarat has received an average rainfall of 514 mm or 20.56 inches. Normally, 605 mm or 24.2 inches of rain should have been received by this time. Therefore, the state has received about 15 per cent less rainfall than normal so far. Scattered rains are likely to continue in the coming days
