The Gujarat Housing Board will soon start operations under the redevelopment project in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar. New houses will be constructed at Pragatinagar, Vadaj, Vasna and Vijayanagar. In Gandhinagar too, new houses will be built and allotted through draws for people belonging to low income groups. The area where the space will be surveyed and how many units will be built will be reviewed before the operation of the housing scheme. According to the new rules of the Housing Board, only those with 30-40 times of construction will build the house. Redevelopment work will be carried out at two places in Vadaj, one place each at Pragatinagar, Vadaj, Vasna and Vijayanagar. A total of more than 3 thousand houses will be built in 6 places in Ahmedabad. In all housing schemes, houses will be allotted for lower income group, middle income group and higher income group.
