Gandhinagar city and the district witnessed cloudy weather throughout the day on Sunday. It rained heavily throughout the day. A total of 22.75 mm rainfall has been recorded in the district in the last 24 hours. Dahegam in the district received the highest rainfall of 36 mm. Kalol recorded 32 mm rainfall, Gandhinagar 13 mm and Mansa 10 mm. The rain has taken a break on Monday morning. The temperature in the city was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius. Dahegam and Kalol talukas received as much as an inch of rain, leading to waterlogging. Monsoon has started in Gandhinagar from June 15. In 22 days, 32 per cent of the season's rainfall has been recorded. The meteorological department has predicted more rain in the coming days. The humidity level is also increasing steadily. Most of the districts in the state have been lashed by rains.
