India Qualified For Semi Final T20 World Cup: India has defeated West Indies by 5 wickets. India has become the fourth and last country to go to the semi-finals after South Africa, England, New Zealand. Team India has also set a world record for the biggest successful run chase in T20 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. West Indies had scored 195 runs while playing first, in reply, the Indian team achieved this target with 4 balls remaining. This is the sixth time in the history of the T20 World Cup that India has made it to the semi-finals.
World Record for Largest Chase
The Indian team has set a record for the biggest run chase at Eden Gardens by achieving the target of 196 runs against the West Indies. Earlier, the biggest run chase in T20 at Kolkata's Eden Gardens was 158 runs. That record was also set by the Indian team against the West Indies.
Shivam Dubey Ke Woh 2 Fours Kar Gaye Kaam
India had to score 17 runs in the last 2 overs. On the second ball of the 19th over, Hardik Pandya was dismissed for 17. The difficulties started increasing, but then Shivam Dubey came and hit 2 fours within 3 balls. These 2 fours not only eased the pressure on Sanju Samson but also prevented the West Indies from making a comeback in the match.
