A 74-year-old man, a resident of Radha Krishna Park Society in Akota area of Vadodara city, was robbed of his gold chain. The accused came to the Activa wearing an orange T-shirt of Swiggy company and called the elderly man out of the house on the pretext of delivering a parcel and snatched the chain. At that time, a man wearing a Swiggy orange T-shirt and a helmet came to his house with an Activa. Breaking the gold chain with a parcel The man called Hasmukhbhai to the door of the house and said, "Your parcel is there, sign it." The elderly man said that he had not ordered any parcel even though the accused showed the small parcel and handed it to him. When the elderly man was busy looking at the parcel, the accused snatched the gold chain around his neck and fled with the Activa. The gold chain snatched was about one tola The elderly man did not see the vehicle number of the accused. The snatched gold chain weighed about one tola. The old man had been wearing this chain for the past eight years. Following the incident, Akota police have registered a case and launched a hunt for the accused.
