The recent Summer Fair held at the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir in Kingsbury, London, was a symbol of colours, vibrant culture and wonderful community unity. The main objective behind this programme was to provide economic and social support to the deprived and homeless sections of the society. People enthusiastically participated in the noble cause
Local families, dedicated volunteers and visitors participated with great enthusiasm in this noble cause. Together, everyone made an invaluable contribution to this great work for humanity; expressed their resolve to serve society. The atmosphere of this fair was full of enthusiasm and divinity. A special kind of arrangement was made for the enjoyment of the children who came to the fair. Colourful face painting and fun activities of various sports were the main attractions. The entire fair was lively throughout the day due to the chirping and enthusiasm of the children. Food stalls also became the centre of attraction
Apart from this, food stalls also became a special attraction for the visitors. The Ice Gola Company served spicy dishes of authentic Indian street food, healthy fresh orange juice and everyone's favourite Fresh Ice Gola that provides relief from the summer heat. Performances of traditional Indian dances in a series of cultural programmes left the audience mesmerized. These dances presented a beautiful glimpse of Indian heritage and culture on British soil. However, the biggest and major attraction of the entire festival was undoubtedly the grand performance of Shri Muktjivan Swamibapa Pipe Band-London. The disciplined, energetic presence of the band members, marching and upbeat musical tunes filled the atmosphere with a unique colour that was forever etched in everyone's heart. This Summer Fair was not just an ordinary festival for entertainment, but it was a memorable day with a beautiful message of community unity, compassion and what can be achieved by coming together with a noble cause. The fair proved to be a very successful day, conveying a lively and inspiring message of how a great positive change can be brought about in the society by combining nine empathy and common purpose.
