Two Hindus shot dead by militants in Kashmir: One migrant worker killed, another hospitalized; Security forces conduct search operation

Militants targeted two migrant labourers from Chhattisgarh working at a brick kiln in south Kashmir's Kulgam late on Friday evening. One worker was killed in the attack. The other is seriously injured. According to officials, the attack took place in Kelam, about 20 km from Kulgam. The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Deepak Ratre, while 28-year-old Bhupendra was injured. Bhupendra has been referred to SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar in a critical condition. According to police sources, the attack took place on the lines of Pahalgam. Preliminary investigations revealed that the terrorists first asked for the names of the migrant workers. The two Hindus were then separated from the group and shot at close range. Many migrant workers were present there at the time of the incident. But the Hindus were the only two. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area as soon as the news of the terrorist attack was received. Vehicles are being checked. Police vehicles are searching for the terrorists.
