The Food and Drugs Department has permanently cancelled the license of a medical store in Vadodara's Navayad area for irregularities in the sale of medicines.
During an investigation by the Food and Drugs Department, serious irregularities came to light at M/s Shivani Medicine in Navayard area. In addition to codeine-containing drugs, psychiatric drugs like Nitrazepam , Alprazolam were also found to be being sold without a valid prescription. In November 2019, for the first time, the licence of the shop was suspended for 30 days after irregularities came to light. The action was then resumed in 2021.
