Manipuri Musician's Postmortem Report: 15 Ribs Found Broken: Severe Injuries from Heavy Weapon on Chest and Abdomen, Death Due to Internal Bleeding; 8 Accused Arrested

The postmortem report of Manipuri musician Chongtham Vikram Singh states that his death was due to excessive bleeding. The autopsy report of AIIMS Delhi has shown the cause as severe injuries on the chest and abdomen. According to the report, about 15 ribs of Singh's chest and abdomen were broken. Injuries were also found on his body, head, face, hands, chest, abdomen, back and legs. 54-year-old Vikram Singh died during treatment after the attack in New Delhi. The police have arrested 8 accused, including a minor, in the case. According to the police FIR, on September 7, Singh went to stop people who were making noise outside his house in the Ashram area of south Delhi, after which the accused assaulted him. These injuries were mentioned in the autopsy report by the accused for chasing them up to three floors. According to the FIR, on September 7, the accused entered the building. They chased the lion up to three floors and attacked him with kicks and punches. Singh's wife later identified the accused as people who had threatened her husband earlier as well. The police have also obtained CCTV footage. In it, the accused are shown leaving the building. After the attack, Singh was taken to Holy Family Hospital. He died during treatment.
