May 2026 Theatre Release: A flurry of new films will come to theaters in the month of May, so many movies will be released from Sunny's 'Gabru' to Bobby's 'Bandar'.

Chand Mera Dil
Karan Johar's Dharma Productions' upcoming film Chand Mera Dil is a romantic drama. In this romantic drama, the pair of Ananya Pandey and Lakshya will be seen on screen for the first time. The makers had earlier thought of releasing the film in the year 2025 but then its date was extended. The film will now hit the theatres on May 8, 2026.

Gabru
Sunny Deol's first Gadar 2 then Jaat and this year after the super success of Border 2 are dominating the box office. At the same time, fans are also eagerly waiting for the release of Sunny's next film Gabru. According to a report by Variety India, this emotional drama will come to theaters on May 8, 2026. Directed by Shashank Udapurkar, Gabru is being described as Sunny Deol's most emotional film so far.   Gabru is produced by Vishal Rana and Om Chhangani, and also stars Simran and Preet Kamani in the lead roles.

Bobby Deol's film Bandar, which received critical acclaim at international film festivals, will now be released in theaters on May 22, 2026. It has been directed by filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. The film has been produced by Nikhil Dwivedi, who first produced Veere Di Wedding and then CTRL. Sanya Malhotra will also be seen in an important role in the film

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do
Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan's upcoming romantic-comedy, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is also the much-awaited film of the year. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film also stars Vamika Gabbi and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles. Pati Patni Aur Woh will hit theaters on May 15.

'One - Force of the Forest'
Actor Sidharth Malhotra's folk thriller movie 'One - Force of the Forest' is a project of Ekta R Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms Limited and The Viral Fever (TVF), it is directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra of web series Panchayat fame. Tamannaah Bhatia will also be seen in an important role in the film. It will hit the theatres on May 15.
