In a shocking incident, a truck driver rammed into a Swift Dzire car parked at Shantinath Society on Nagpur Road in Mehsana. The car was dragged about 20 feet and caused a huge loss of around Rs 2 lakh in the accident, while the truck driver fled the spot after causing the accident. The complainant, Jitendra Kumar, was driving his silver coloured Swift Dzire car number GJ at around 1.30 pm on July 4. 02 BP 2301 Dediyasan was working inside by parking outside the godown of plot no. 443 in GIDC-02. In the meantime, the driver of a Somnath Transport truck bearing number GJ09 AU 2059 coming from Dediasan side at full speed and negligently hit the car parked in the parking lot from behind. The collision was so severe that the car was dragged about 20 feet, completely crushing both the doors and the rear tyre on the empty side of the car. The truck driver fled the spot with his truck after incurring a huge loss in the car. The Mehsana taluka police have registered a case against the truck driver in this regard and are taking legal action to nab him.
