Mumtaz recently told Hindustani Times, 'I went to meet Asha Bhosle in her last moments. When I heard that she was admitted to the hospital, I wanted to talk to her. But I couldn't. Because the doctors said that his condition was very critical. As soon as I came back from the hospital, his family called me after some time and informed me about his death," he said.
Mumtaz says, "I went to meet him at his house the very next day and when I saw Ashi ji, I saw the look on his face."
