Four people, including two women, were hit on the footpath by a luxury Fortuner car coming at a reckless speed between 9.30 pm and 9.45 pm on the night of November 2 near Akshar Hospital and Devasya School in Nikol area of Ahmedabad. After the car collided with the car, a young man was crushed between the bonnet and the wall of the car. The CCTV of the Fortuner passing through the crossroads before the accident has also surfaced. At this time, a two-wheeler was rescued near the crossroads as the Fortuner was hit. As the car could not move back, the people present lifted the car and pulled the young man out. Poonamben Jitendrabhai Nagwadia, a mother who sold chaniyacholi and her 15-year-old son Sagar Nagwadia, died tragically due to serious injuries in the accident. Kartik Vasoya (34) and his wife Snehalben Vasoya (34) who were shopping are undergoing treatment in a critical condition. Now a big revelation has been made in this case. The driver who ran over the mother and son with a Fortuner car while selling sofa covers on the footpath, Viral Chaudhary, was not alone at the time of the accident, along with his friend Sagar was also in the car. The two friends enjoyed a beer party at Sagar's house and then went out for dinner. However, when Viral felt less drunk while driving, he opened the steering wheel in one hand and a can of beer in the other hand and started drinking while driving. In the meantime, the car lost control and climbed onto the footpath. After the accident, Sagar got out of the car and fled taking advantage of the crowd. Now, a case has been registered against Sagar under the Prohibition Act at Nikol police station. He took over the steering wheel with one hand and started drinking beer with the other hand
After the arrest of the accused, interrogation revealed that Viral Chaudhary had gone to his friend Sagar's house before the accident. As Viral was running low on alcohol, he took out another can from the stock kept in the car and started drinking beer with the other hand. Due to the intoxication of the moving car, Viral lost control of the car, due to which two people lost their lives. A case will be registered against Sagar as a co-accused
As soon as the accident took place, Sagar got down from the car and fled from there, while the locals caught Viral, who was sitting on the steering wheel, and handed him over to the police. The whole case has taken a new turn when Sagar's name came up in the police investigation. Since Sagar had consumed beer with Viral and did not stop him despite knowing that there was a quantity of liquor in the car, a case will be registered against him as a co-accused under the Prohibition Act at Nikol police station.
