On the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, a serious accident took place between a teller and an LPG tanker near Sarsavani village near Padra in Vadodara late at night. Teams of Karjan and Padra fire departments rushed to the spot to prevent any mishap like gas leakage or fire. The administration and security forces are keeping a close watch on the situation and have kept firefighters on standby at the spot to keep the tanker safe. The company did not remove the tanker even after 12 hours
The gas company was also informed about the accident. The company said that the technical work of transferring LPG gas from the overturned tanker to another tanker will be started in about 2 hours. The local police and fire department are working continuously to ensure that the process of gas transfer is carried out completely safely. But even after more than 12 hours of the accident, the tanker, which is like a live bomb, has not been removed from the spot by the company. The expressway has been made one-way since night.
Vehicles were given diversions after the accident on this expressway, which carries thousands of vehicles daily. The local police inspector said that the road has been opened on one side at present.
