If someone tells you that there is a machine that will tell you in minutes whether you or your child's attention is on studying or not? Then you will definitely be surprised. But, this seemingly impossible thing has been turned into reality by a student of Electronics and Communication at Government Polytechnic. The students have developed a special app called Focus Flow to know the morale and concentration of young people who are addicted to Instagram and Facebook. This app will scan the alpha and beta waves of the brain and tell where the person's attention is focused. Manav Bharja, a student of Semester-4 of Electronics and Communication, and his team have developed this Focus Flow app. So what is this Focus Flow app? How does it work?. To know how much reliability it has, Divya Bhaskar spoke to Manav Bharja, the creator of the app. 'We have been working continuously on the project for the last six months' Talking about how he came up with this unique idea, Manav said, "Dr. Michelle Prajapati has created an app called Fox Flow. Ayush Prajapati and Naman Sharma are also part of this innovative project. This idea came to me from the fact that there are many students in our country who are either hyperactive, or have ADHD. I came up with this idea keeping in mind their mental health. We have been working continuously on this project for the last six months. 'Testing is complete' This is an app that measures mental concentration. About its testing, Manav says, "In this product, I have successfully tested on about 30 to 40 people. There are many different categories of people, such as mail, female and students. There are also young people over the age of 18 who are studying in college. Now that its testing and everything is complete, now it is time to put it in the market. The app shows our live focus So far, the team has conducted more tests on young pre-school children who are below 10 years of age and where they selected random persons in adults. The rest of them also selected students from their own colleges. In this testing, there would be a total of 30 to 35 people, out of which 15-20 were small children, the remaining 10 were college students and the other 10 were adult individuals. What did the research reveal? He says that now in the research of this thing, we have found that those who have the same age group between 16 and 20, their focus is very high in general. Especially in activities in which they have to work continuously, such as when someone is working on a laptop, their focus is more than 60. Whether it is a small student or under 20 years of age, their focus ratio is a little less in everything, but their focus is more on different interesting things. For example, if there are small children, their focus is more when they show different drawings and ask their name, in which they get more visuals. When there are adult people, they get more attention during the discussion when they are talking in general." Different average according to the person Every person's focus and his average are always different. For example, if a person's average focus is 40 and someone's average focus is better than that which is 60. So this app will analyze the brain for only 15 seconds, and then generate a personalized graph according to it. Finally, it will generate a detailed PDF file, in which the user's high focus, low focus and average focus will be clearly known. 'The app will give accurate reliable data' Explaining the workings of this app, he says, "In this, the headband that we use is made by a well-known company by interacting. We will take a band from it. Our main product is our application, which I and my team members have developed by working hard ourselves. This smart app will connect to that brain module and it will give us certain reliable data. 'The graph of the brain's focus will be generated' 'This module of ours, which is the M(M) module of the interaction company, distributes the waves openly. The different waves that leave our brain such as Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Threeta, now this wave will connect to the module that we have created and capture all those waves. Then it will pass it through different filters of different bands and generate a graph of the brain's focus in such a way that a proper read is done.' What will be the benefit of this app? The biggest advantage of this project will be that any student is more focused on, whether he has time to read or write, everything can be easily tested in it. This will also make the teachers and parents of the school know what the child is good at, and in the same way he can be taught or guided. 'Got a government grant for the project' Talking about the grant for the success of this project, Manav said, "For this project, I applied through the college for a grant in SSIP 2.2. My mentor of the project is Dr. Michelle Prajapati, he helped me a lot. I pitched the project there, so the idea was approved by the people and then I got a government grant for this project. Out of the grant of Rs 70,000 received from the government, about 30,000 to 40,000 rupees have been spent so far. 'The app will be put on a service-based model' At the same time, about the start-up plan, he added, "This will be our future start-up related. We will keep the app that we have on a service-based model. We will install this app on the devices of all the people or organizations who join us and work with us. As long as they work with us, they will have this app, and when they leave our team, we will take that app back. The complete control of this app will be with us.
