Vice-Chancellor of Patan, Dr. Poriya gets gold medal: Gujarat Science Academy honours his 36-year-long academic career

Dr. Hemchandracharya, Vice Chancellor, North Gujarat University, Patan. Kishore Poriya has been awarded a gold medal and certificate by Gujarat Science Academy. His 36-year-long academic career was felicitated at a ceremony held at Gujarat University. The Gujarat Science Academy (GSA) is a state-level institution similar to the Indian Science Academy. It organises Gujarat Science Congress every year in various universities and colleges of Gujarat. This year, the Gujarat Science Congress was organized at Atal Kalam Centre, Gujarat University. In this programme, research students and professors presented their research papers while various speakers spoke on different topics of science. The valedictory function of Gujarat Science Academy was presided over by Patan University Vice-Chancellor Dr. The meeting was presided over by Kishore Poriya. On this occasion, he was honoured with gold medals, mementos and certificates in recognition of his long academic career. The event was attended by the President, Secretary, Honorary Members, Scientists of ISRO and Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) as well as faculty and students from universities across Gujarat.
