Vadodara: Officials of Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GURDC) and Central Gujarat Power Company (GGVC) on Thursday conducted a raid on 1,731 connections in various villages of Desar, Savli, Manjusar, Chhani and Jambua in Vadodara district. Electricity theft worth Rs 27.18 lakh has been detected and action has been taken to collect fine.
As many as 55 teams have been formed in the villages of five sub-divisions of the Central Gujarat Power Company.
