Injustice: Promises of government assistance for Methala bandhra from 2018

The state president of the Farmers' Welfare Association visited the Methala Bandhara on the border of Mahuva Talaja taluka of Bhavnagar district today. In 2018, on March 17, 2018, the government of Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani gave in-principle approval of Rs 86 crore, after which the government approved Rs 137 crore to build the Methala dam, but did not keep a single brick. The Bandhara Vikas Samiti has given compensation of more than Rs. 40 lakhs to the farmers' land going to Bud in the methala bandhar for more than two years, but not a single brick of the bandhara has been opened. Seeing the ongoing repair work by the Methala Bandhara Development Committee, Bharat Singh presented history by talking in detail about the 30 years from 1995 to today's 2025. Since 1995, the government has been promising to build the Methala Dam at the time of elections, and in 2012, when the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he promised to build the Methala Dam at a cost of Rs 35 crore. In 2018, people made a firm resolve to make methala bandhas with hard work, Zindabad Apna Haath Jagannath, on the sixth day of March 2018, people completed the Methala Dam in three months and had a capacity of 750 FTMC water for just Rs 55 lakh. Raj Mehta contributed Rs. 40 lakhs to make the water aguin (wastewear) pure, the son of former Finance Minister late Jaswant Mehta, in 2018, cement, iron and pebbles worth about Rs. 40 lakhs. From 2018 to today, Rajbhai Mehta provided the amount of cement, iron and pebbles for about Rs. 40 lakhs.
