Rajkot Lodhika Sangh election: The election of the Rajkot Lodhika Buyer-Seller Association has created a big earthquake in the cooperative politics of Gujarat. In this election, the BJP's official mandate system has proved to be a complete failure and the dominance of the Jayesh Radadiya group in the cooperative sector has once again been proved. Out of the total 15 seats of the Sangh, 10 seats had already been declared uncontested, while the result of the real battle held in the remaining 5 seats has been declared today.
seat-wise election results details
Kuwadwa seat: BJP candidate and former minister Arvind Raiyani has suffered a crushing and embarrassing defeat in this seat. Surprisingly, he got only 1 vote of his own. Nitin Chovatia of the Radadiya faction has registered a landslide victory against him.
Madhapar seat: Here too, Vijay Sakhiya of the Jayesh Radadiya faction has emerged victorious, while Prithvisinh Jadeja, the veteran leader of the Prashant Korat faction, who is contesting against him, has faced defeat
Halanda seat: Mahesh Asodaria of the Radadia faction has won the seat by a clear margin.
Trumba seat: There was a lot of tussle in this seat. At the end of the counting of votes, a tie was tossed, in which Nitin Raiyani, the candidate with the mandate of the BJP, who was lucky to win
Khokhaldad seat: With the support of other candidates, Babubhai Nasit of the Prashant Korat faction and the BJP's mandate has been declared the winner
Thus, out of the 5 seats where elections were held, 3 seats were won by the Radadia group and 2 seats were won by the Prashant Korat group, while 3 candidates with the mandate of the BJP had to taste defeat. After the late Vitthalbhai Radadiya, now Jayesh Radadiya has maintained his grip on the cooperative structure of Rajkot district. Elections to Rajkot Market Yard and Rajkot District Cooperative Bank are also coming up in the coming days, looking at these current equations, there is a good possibility that the Radadia group will also dominate them
Opposition Congress slams Congress
The open disrespect of the BJP's mandate has given the Congress an opportunity to attack the state. State Congress president Amit Chavda said that the BJP has turned the cooperative structure into an arena of politics. The BJP's internal gang war has been exposed under the pretext of the mandate in the cooperative sector, which will be seen on the streets in the coming days. On the other hand, Congress leader Lalit Vasoya, referring to the IFFCO elections, said that even at that time, Jayesh Radadiya had fought and won against the BJP's mandate but his hair was not crooked. He claimed that the BJP organisation no longer has enough strength to take strict disciplinary action against anyone who disobeys the mandate
