Saurashtra Rain : Heavy rains in Saurashtra, where did it rain?
Gujarat heavy rain update: Monsoon has now become fully active in Gujarat. Since this morning, Meghraja has created a waterlogged situation in many districts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra. According to the data of the State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) till 6:00 pm, a total of 85 talukas in the state have recorded universal rainfall. Vapi in Valsad district received 5.31 inches (135 mm) of rainfall, inundating low-lying areas. Due to widespread and sowing rains, there is a lot of happiness among the farmers of the state.
Meghraja has made a tremendous mark in South Gujarat. In Vapi in Valsad district, the situation was seen as if the sky had burst. In a short span of just 2 hours from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., a very heavy 105 mm (more than 4 inches) of rain fell. At the end of the day, a total of 135 mm rainfall was recorded in Vapi. Other areas of Valsad also witnessed heavy waterlogging, with Umargam recording 100 mm (3.94 inches) and Pardi 48 mm, leading to waterlogging everywhere
Saurashtra: Heavy rains in Bhesan and Malia Hatina
Along with South Gujarat, Meghraja has also shown its fierce form in Saurashtra. Heavy rains lashed Bhesan in Junagadh district between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm, where a total of 107 mm (4.21 in) of rain was recorded in just two hours. Malia Hatina received 91 mm (3.58 inches) of rainfall. In Rajkot's Lodhika, Meghraja also broke down in the afternoon and received 3 inches (77 mm) of rain till 6:00 pm
