Rajkot city BJP suffered a big setback. Former BJP general secretary of ward number four and city Thakor Sena president Ranchhodbhai Udhreja joined the Congress. Mahesh Rajput, chairman of the OBC department of the Congress, welcomed Ranchhodbhai Udhreja and his supporters into the Congress party. Interestingly, Ranchhodbhai Udhreja's sister-in-law Kankuben is herself a BJP corporator from ward number four. Wearing the attire of the Congress, Ranchhodbhai accused the BJP of doing injustice to the society. For the last 35 years, the BJP has accused the Chuwadia community of using the community only to get votes and not a single MLA from the community. At the same time, Ranchhodbhai also announced to convene a conference of the Koli community in the coming days.
