The fire broke out at Yes Bank near Rajkot district panchayat chowk around 11.35 pm, causing chaos on the Race Course road. Two fire tenders rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The fire was doused by the fire team by firing water cannons. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the cause of the fire was a short circuit. Following the fire, the city police closed a one-way road and diverted traffic. After the fire was extinguished in the front of the bank, efforts are being made by the fire department to completely control the fire inside. Bank officials have also been informed about this.
