Ashwin had registered for the ILT20 league auction a few months ago after retiring from international cricket and IPL as well. His registration was very much discussed. Ashwin played a total of 221 matches for 5 different teams in his Indian Premier League career, in which he took 187 wickets as a bowler. At the same time, he has 833 runs in batting.
