Vadodara: Class 5 student suffering from heart disease ran 6 rounds of the field, did the school admit the mistake and defend the teacher?

Incidents of mental and physical cruelty meted out to students by teachers in schools in Vadodara city are not stopping. A shocking case has come to light from the prestigious Rosary School in Fatehganj. The school's P.T. An innocent student of Class 5 was severely punished by the teacher just because he did not come to school with oil in his hair as per the rules. The teacher forgot humanity and forced this innocent child to run not one or two but the entire 6 rounds of the school grounds in the scorching sun.

Teacher unaware of illness and deteriorating health

The most serious and worrying thing is that the student is suffering from a serious heart disease, and is strictly forbidden by medical regulations to excessive physical exertion or running. After running 6 rounds, the child's health deteriorated and he was extremely scared. When the child went home and told his parents about it, the parents lost their senses. The parent immediately contacted the Vadodara District Education Officer (DEO) office and lodged a written complaint regarding this serious compromise on the child's future and health. Apart from this, official help has also been taken from the 'Child Helpline' working for the protection of child rights.

School Administration's Confession and Action Plan

Deepak Jaiswal, principal of the Rosary School, has issued an official statement to the media and the administration as the controversy has become widespread. The principal said, "The school management admits this big mistake. However, the teacher who administered the punishment had recently joined the school, and the new teacher was not aware of the child's medical history or whether he had a heart condition. This has inadvertently made a serious mistake by them." The principal further added that any kind of corporal punishment is not encouraged in the school. Following the incident, a high-level emergency meeting of the Rosary School Management and Board of Trustees has been convened today itself, in which the concerned PT has been held for violating the rules of deputation and endangering the life of the child. A final decision will be taken on taking strict disciplinary action against the teacher or dismissal from service.
