In the last 24 hours, seven of the eight talukas in Sabarkantha district have received unseasonal rainfall. Rainfall ranging from 3 mm to 26 mm led to waterlogging in low-lying areas. The road leading to Himmatnagar railway station was also waterlogged causing inconvenience to commuters. Himmatnagar received one inch (24 mm) of unseasonal rain in 24 hours. Due to this rain, various societies near Gayatri Mandir and the road leading to the railway station from Tower Chowk via Panch Batti were waterlogged. People had to suffer a lot due to lack of drainage of water. On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 7, there was a change in the atmosphere in the district. There was unseasonal rain accompanied by heavy winds and lightning. According to the rainfall data recorded in the last 24 hours, Talod recorded 26 mm (one inch), Himmatnagar 24 mm (1 inch), Prantij 13 mm, Idar 10 mm and Wadali 10 mm.
