Sanjay Dutt clarifies his statement

Sanjay Dutt wrote, 'I want to make it clear that my intention was never to hurt, offend or disrespect the sentiments of any person, community or institution.'

I would like to clarify that it was never my intention to hurt, offend, or disrespect the sentiments of any individual, community, or institution. My remarks were made in the context of a scripted conversation intended to be light-hearted and humorous. The spirit behind them was similar to the humour and satire seen in films like Munna Bhai, particularly the concept of 'Gandhigiri,' which was intended to convey a message of love, warmth, togetherness, and goodwill. Unfortunately, my words were interpreted outside of that intended context.

Sanjay Dutt further writes, 'My words were pre-decided, which I said during the conversation. The purpose was to create a light-hearted and witty atmosphere. The spirit behind it was the same as the jokes and satire seen in films like Munna Bhai. Especially the concept of Gandhigiri, which was intended to convey a message of love, belongingness, solidarity and goodwill. Sadly, my words were interpreted out of the context in which it was said.

Sanjay Dutt: "Ek peace hona chahiye, I can’ t feel that peace anymore in India." But what kind of "peace" is he talking about? If there is no peace in India, then where is it? In our neighbouring countries? https://t.co/IKl8xHK3eJ
