Vadodara News: Hero saved children's lives, but lost to poison, young wildlife rescuer from Shinore dies of snake bite

A very heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Shinore diocese of Vadodara district. A well-known wildlife rescuer, 38-year-old Anil Machi, died of snake bite while trying to protect small children playing around with a poisonous cobra snake that suddenly appeared on the road. Anilbhai was originally a driver by profession, but due to his love for wildlife, he also did commendable work of rescuing snakes and other reptiles for years.

Bite on finger while catching cobra

According to the details of the incident, as soon as the cobra snake was seen on the road, the lives of the children playing nearby were in danger. Seeing this, Anilbhai immediately started rescuing the snake. However, during the process of catching the cobra, suddenly the snake bit his finger hard. As soon as he was bitten by the snake, his health started to deteriorate.

He succumbed to his injuries in the hospital during treatment

As soon as the incident took place, the friends in the vicinity immediately put Anilbhai on a bike and took him to Mota Fophalia Hospital for first aid. Seeing his serious condition there, the doctors shifted him to SSG Hospital in Vadodara by 108 ambulance for further treatment. However, the doctors of SSG Hospital declared Anil Machi dead after a short treatment as the poison spread to the body and blood.

Several certificates were obtained in the field of rescue

Anil Machhi was not just an ordinary citizen, but an experienced rescuer dedicated to the protection of wildlife. During his lifetime, he had safely captured and released hundreds of snakes and wildlife into the forest, for which he also received many certificates from the Forest Department and various organizations. The untimely demise of a person who saved the lives of many people has left his family in a state of shock.

The death of the second rescuer in 1 year sparked a wave of grief in the diocese

This shock is not new to the Shinore diocese. About a year ago, another well-known rescuer, Ashok Patel, was also killed by a cobra snake bite in Shinor. The loss of 2-2 experienced and active rescuers from the area in a short span of just 12 months has sparked a sense of grief in the entire Shinore diocese. The police have shifted the body for post-mortem and a legal investigation is underway.
