Students demand resumption of closed routes: Students are very upset as buses are irregular in Dedan-Khambha

Local commuters and students have been facing a lot of trouble due to irregularities of ST buses and closure of important routes in Khambha and Dedan dioceses for a long time. Expressing anger against the apathy of the ST administration, the villagers alleged that the lack of buses compulsorily forced them to travel in private vehicles. People have said that there is an urgent need to change the timings of the bus from Rajula to Junagadh via Dedan, Khambha and Dhari. If the bus departs from Rajula at 11:00 am and returns from Junagadh at 3:30 pm, the number of passengers may increase. In the past, the Khambha-Bhavnagar via Chalala, Amreli, Dhasa, Sehore buses, operated by Rajula depot, which used to leave at 5:15 am, have been closed for a long time. This bus was very convenient especially for students. Although Dedan and Khambha are located on the same route, due to the irregularity of ST buses, students going to school and college are not able to reach on time and it is not financially affordable to travel in private vehicles by spending expensive fares. Local leaders and villagers have demanded that the ST administration should revise the timetable of these routes at the earliest and restart the stopped buses, otherwise they have also threatened to launch a fierce agitation.
