Violation of traffic rules in Surat city is proving to be fatal. In a heart-wrenching accident, 29-year-old Nikunjbhai Subhashbhai Savani, a diamond factory owner, lost his life due to an unidentified biker coming on the wrong side of the city. In the accident that took place on the Phulpara to Ratnamala road, a youth died on the spot after being crushed under the tyres of the city bus. The entire incident has been captured on CCTV cameras. Nikunjbhai Subhashbhai Savani, a 29-year-old resident of Silver Luxury on Uttaran VIP Road in Surat, owned a diamond factory by profession. On the morning of Friday (January 9), he rode a bike with his acquaintance Ketanbhai and went to work repairing the Shareen machine. They were passing by the shop of 'Khatunshyam Designer' between Phulpara and Ratnamala when suddenly a bike rider from the opposite direction came on the wrong side at full speed. Before the driver of the bus had time to apply the brakes, the tyre of the bus rolled over on Nikunjbhai. The accident was so horrific that Nikunjbhai sustained serious injuries. Locals and passersby rushed him to a nearby private hospital but doctors on duty declared him dead on arrival at the hospital.
