Violation of traffic rules in Surat city is proving to be fatal. In a heart-wrenching accident, 29-year-old Nikunjbhai Subhashbhai Savani, a diamond factory owner, lost his life due to an unidentified biker coming on the wrong side of the city. In the accident that took place on the Phulpara to Ratnamala road, a youth died on the spot after being crushed under the tyres of the city bus. The entire incident has been captured on CCTV cameras. Suddenly, a motorcyclist came to the wrong side at full speed Nikunjbhai Subhashbhai Savani, a 29-year-old resident of Silver Luxury on Uttaran VIP Road in Surat, owned a diamond factory by profession. On the morning of Friday (January 9), he rode a bike with his acquaintance Ketanbhai and went to work repairing the Shareen machine. They were passing by the shop of 'Khatunshyam Designer' between Phulpara and Ratnamala when suddenly a bike rider from the opposite direction came on the wrong side at full speed. The two friends fell on the road after the bike slipped Nikunjbhai lost balance on his bike while trying to avoid a collision with a vehicle coming from the opposite direction. Their bike skidded due to the road being wet or braking in panic and the two friends fell on the road. Crushed by a city bus Unfortunately, the moment Nikunjbhai fell on the road, a city bus was approaching at full speed nearby. Before the driver of the bus had time to apply the brakes, the tyre of the bus rolled over on Nikunjbhai. The accident was so horrific that Nikunjbhai sustained serious injuries. Locals and passersby rushed him to a nearby private hospital but doctors on duty declared him dead on arrival at the hospital. On the other hand, Ketanbhai, who was sitting on the back of the bike, has fortunately suffered minor injuries, who is currently in shock. Family mourns untimely death Nikunjbhai's death at the young age of 29 has left the Savani family devastated. The untimely demise of Nikunjbhai, who was a hardworking and businessman, has spread a sense of grief among the jewellers and people associated with the diamond industry in the Uttara and Katargam areas. Search for a biker on the wrong side A convoy of Katargam police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. The police have sent Nikunjbhai's body for postmortem and further investigation is underway. With a case registered against the driver of the city bus, the surrounding CCTV footage is being scanned to ascertain the cause of the accident due to the bike rider coming on the wrong side.
