Surendranagar LCB has received Rs. Liquor worth Rs 55.74 lakh seized: Truck worth Rs 80.84 lakh seized, Barmer man arrested

Surendranagar LCB has taken major action against illegal activity of prohibition. A truck container was found on the Chotila highway near Patia in Madhadagam. Foreign liquor worth Rs 55.74 lakh has been seized. A total of Rs. Goods worth Rs 80.84 lakh have been seized and one person has been arrested. The LCB team set up a watch on the Chotila highway near Patia in Madhadgam on the basis of specific information. During the investigation, a truck container of Tata company was recovered from Rs. A total of 12,516 small and large sealed bottles worth Rs 55,74,312 were recovered. In addition to the quantity of liquor, the police seized Rs. A truck worth Rs 25 lakh. A mobile phone worth Rs 10,000 and two number plates were also seized. Thus, a total of Rs. A total of Rs 80,84,312 has been seized. The truck driver, Arvind Kumar Pemaram Dhanka Bishnoi (R/o Jambheshwar Nagar, Agor, T. Chohtan, G. Barmer), has been nabbed in the operation. A case under the Prohibition Act has been registered at Jorawarnagar police station and further investigation is underway. The police are probing the involvement of Anil Kumar Pandya, a resident of Sikhar in Rajasthan, the owner of the truck and other persons who ordered the liquor consignment. Police said the other accused are yet to be arrested in the case.
