Administration alert amid rain forecast in Patan: 5 officers given special responsibility, from water drainage to disaster management

The municipality has come into action mode following the forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Patan city in the coming week. Chief Officer Alpesh Patel has given special responsibility to five key officers. Civil engineer Monil Patel has been given the responsibility of cleaning and filling the rain water lines. Water works clerk Bharat Modi will have to handle the arrangements for water supply and chlorination. He also has the responsibility of arranging de-watering pumps in low-lying areas. Sanitary inspector Aasman Pal has been assigned the task of cleaning campaign and epidemic control in the city. Himanshu Solanki of the cattle dabba branch will have to do the task of catching stray cattle. Station fire officer Snehal Modi has to keep the fire team on standby. He has been entrusted with the responsibility of keeping the team of swimmers in alert mode and keeping the 24x7 control room running. Not all officers will leave the headquarters without getting the leave sanctioned. To deal with any disaster, they will have to keep the mobile on for 24 hours.
