Allegations of vandalism at TMC office at 4:30 am: Abhishek says - BJP workers entered with weapons, the corporation removed the signboard from the same office

Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee has alleged that at around 4:30 am on Thursday, BJP men attacked his party office at Chemmack Street in Kolkata. Abhishek also shared the video on social media. He claimed that the attackers who came with weapons assaulted the employees, snatched the phones and ransacked the office. According to Abhishek, TMC employees and lawyers informed the police, but no action was taken for about two hours. There was also a controversy over the same office a few days ago. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation removed a signboard with All India Trinamool Congress written on it from the building in the presence of the police. After this, an FIR was registered against many TMC leaders, including Abhishek Banerjee, Derek O'Brien. Abhishek said that the police did not reach for 2 hours. Banerjee said that party workers and lawyers called and emailed the police several times, but there was no response for about two hours. He asked why timely action was not taken when the incident was reported to the police. He demanded that all those involved in the attack be arrested. At the same time, it should also be investigated who planned the violence and on whose instructions it was carried out. Abhishek accused the BJP of planned attack Abhishek shared a video of the attack on social media. He alleged that the attack was part of a pre-planned plan. She said that no political party or armed group can be above the law. Banerjee also appealed to the Governor of West Bengal, the Union Home Minister and the Prime Minister's Office to take action in the matter. She also requested the Calcutta High Court to take cognizance of the incident. Abhishek's attack on CM Suvendu Adhikari Abhishek accused BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari and questioned why such action was being taken to create political pressure on the TMC and him. He also targeted the West Bengal chief minister and said that if such behaviour of violence and intimidation with the opposition continues, then the chief minister has no moral right to remain in office. He demanded the resignation of the chief minister.
