Trinamool Congress leader Jehangir Khan was paraded by the police in his shorts in Phalta on Thursday. He was taken away by the police in connection with the investigation. He was arrested from the Nepal border on June 8 on charges of illegal extortion. In Durgapur, another TMC leader, Sukumar Dutta, was arrested on several charges, including corruption and extortion. TMC leader Jahangir Khan arrested from Nepal border, alleging illegal extortion The Special Task Force of the West Bengal Police arrested TMC leader Jahangir Khan on June 8. The arrest took place near the Nepal border. Seven FIRs were registered against Khan at Falta police station in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district. He was on the verge of fleeing to Nepal.
