Why is it a concern for security agencies

Security agencies believe that it is not just companies selling goods behind such large-scale spam communications, but large cybercriminals groups are active. A large part of these spam calls and messages are related to banking frauds, fake KYC updates, false loan offers and UPI fraud. These fraudsters often call people posing as government officials or representatives of well-known companies. This is not only sinking the money of the common people, but also eroding the trust in the country's digital ecosystem.
