Trishala wanted to come to Bollywood to be close to her father!
Sanjay Dutt's daughter Trishala Dutt once wanted to come to Bollywood. The reason for this was not the dream of acting, but to be close to the father. Trishala said in the Inside Thoughts Out Loud podcast that as a child, she felt that coming to films would allow her to spend more time with her father. Trishala is the daughter of Sanjay Dutt and his first wife Richa Sharma. Richa died of a brain tumour in 1996. After this, Trishala grew up in the United States with her maternal grandparents. She said that when she expressed her desire to come to Bollywood, Sanjay Dutt asked if acting is really a passion for her. According to Trishala, she told her father that she just wanted to be close to him. To this, Sanjay Dutt explained that just being a star kid does not make an A-list actress. He advised his daughter to do what she was genuinely interested in. Trishala said her father has gone through a tough time in life. He always tried to show her the right direction. Instead of pursuing a career in Bollywood, Trishala chose the field of psychology. He is now a therapist. He said that less is said about mental health in the industry. She wanted to tell people that conflict is normal. Trishala also heaped praise on Deepika Padukone who spoke openly about depression. Trishala said she did not live a normal family life with her parents. She lived in the US since childhood and could rarely come to India. However, she said that whenever she is with Sanjay Dutt, she feels like a normal father-daughter relationship.
