Rankivav, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Patan, was visited by more than 2.15 lakh tourists during the year 2025. A total of 2,15,755 tourists visited the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) from January 1 to December 31, earning Rs 99,40,600. According to the revenue data, a total of Rs 85,22,320 was received from 2,13,058 Indian tourists at the rate of Rs 40 per ticket. While 2,340 foreign tourists registered an income of Rs 14,04,000 at the rate of Rs 600 per ticket. In addition, 357 BIMSTEC tourists earned Rs 11,280 as revenue. These figures do not include tourists who have bought tickets online. In October 2025, the highest number of Indian tourists visited Rankivav due to the Diwali vacation at 40,639. The highest number of foreign tourists was 608 in February. However, the number of tourists and earnings have declined in 2025 as compared to 2024. A total of 3,65,482 tourists visited Rankivav in the year 2024, generating revenue of Rs. 1,65,50,720. The seven-storey Ranivav of Patan is famous worldwide for its stunning artworks and sculptures. Rankivav has an important place in the field of tourism along with historical heritage such as Patola, Deora and Sahastralinga Lake in Patan. Tourists flock in large numbers to see the carvings and glorious past here.
