Bhaskar Breaking: Unit test of 82 lakh students of classes 3 to 12 will be changed, implemented from this year

It has been decided by the state government to conduct unit test every week in classes 3 to 12. A committee was formed to review this system as there was not enough time for teachers to teach due to this system. The committee will submit its report in the current month of July and the unit will change the composition of the committee. As a result, the examination pattern of unit test of 82 lakh students will be changed. Now the unit committee will add not only the written examination but also the oral and functional i.e. practical examination and these new methods will be implemented from the current academic year, educational sources said. The unit test of any one subject was introduced by the state government every week in classes 3 to 12 from the academic year 2019. Therefore, the state government constituted a 12-member committee on 360 degree assessment of children under the National New Education Policy 2020. The committee was to study whether to hold a unit test or make changes in it to ease the workload of teachers from the unit test.
