Hemchandracharya University to charge Rs 20,000 from affiliated colleges

The Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University (NGU) has decided to charge a fee of Rs 20,000 for re-verification of the negative report related to affiliation of affiliated colleges. This decision has been taken for the first time by the university. Patan-based Hemchandracharya University has formed 593 LIC (Local Enquiry Committee) committees for new and ongoing affiliation of colleges for the next academic year 2026-27. These committees will soon examine the academic and physical facilities of the colleges and submit a report to the university. Earlier, there was a delay in processing the colleges that used to get negative reports in the LIC investigation in the ongoing merger. Due to this, colleges and students had to face difficulties. Keeping in view the interest of colleges and students, the University has decided that in case the report of LIC is negative in the reintegration process, such colleges will be given time to complete the remaining adequacy within 45 days. After that, the colleges with a negative report will be checked again by the LIC committee and a fee of Rs 20,000 will be charged from the college for this. Vice-Chancellor Dr. KC Poriya said the decision taken for the first time in the university will alleviate the difficulties faced by colleges due to negative reports in the ongoing affiliation.
