Vadodara, Nov 6 (IANS) Ahead of the Uttarayan festival, the city police cracked down on traders who sell, store and manufacture prohibited items. Police have arrested 44 traders in three days and also seized a huge amount of contraband.
According to police sources, the city crime branch recovered 33 reels of Chinese thread worth Rs 16,500 from the trader on the basis of information that Bipinchandra Prafullchandra Jani (R/o Parulpark Society, Chanijkatnaka) was selling Chinese thread reels near Preet Party Plot near Sama Canal.
