Hanol to become a symbol of self-reliance: Three-day festival to begin from January 13 with the slogan 'My village – my pride'

Hanol village of Palitana taluka will witness the 'Atmanirbhar Hanol Mahotsav-2026', a confluence of development and tradition in the coming days. The three-day festival, being held from January 13 to 15, will showcase various aspects of rural culture and modern development with the echo of 'Meri Gaon – My Pride'. A unique confluence of development and culture, the main objective of the Mahotsav is the holistic development of the village and to foster self-reliance. Under this, a state-of-the-art 'Village Olympics' will be inaugurated and new roads will be inaugurated. Enthralling events such as Juwara Yatra, grand Maha Aarti at Amrit Sarovar, and traditional fashion show have been planned to keep the traditional values alive. There will be deployment of cultural programmes along with the fun of kite festivals during the festival. To strengthen the rural economy with special emphasis on agriculture and animal husbandry, a Natural Farming Conclave and Gramin Mazaar will be inaugurated. The launch of 'Gaumata Poshan Seva' at the Animal Hostel for animal service is a special aspect of the festival. Additionally, cycle rallies and Prabhat Pheris are also being organised to raise awareness about environment and health. 'Modi ji's Dream Village' Hanol is emerging today as the 'Modi ji's Dream Village' due to his insistence on self-reliance and cleanliness. This festival is not just a celebration but also a vision of a journey of development inspiring to other Gram Panchayats. A large number of dignitaries, farmers and youth will be present in this grand festival and will participate in the unity and pride of the village.
