A team of Vadodara Rural Local Crime Branch (LCB) raided Vadu village in Padra taluka and nabbed three persons red-handed for gambling on the number difference of Worli Matka. The police seized a total of Rs. A case has been registered at Vadu police station by seizing Rs 11,865 worth of contraband.
According to the information received, Mukeshbhai and Hareshbhai of the LCB received information that the gambling of Worli Matka was being played in the open space behind the closed ruined house near Goya Lake near the village of Vadu. On the basis of which the LCB police conducted a raid. During the raid, Mohammed Hussain alias Jamu Ismail Parmar (resident of Wadu), Bhupendra Khuman Singh Rana (resident of Mujpur) and Ranjit Sursang Jadhav (resident of Dabka) were caught gambling. The police seized Rs 11,700 in cash, 26 slips with gambling statistics, three books, 22 pieces of carbon paper and three ballpens from the accused. A case under the Gambling Act has been registered at Vadu police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by Hareshbhai Amrubhai of LCB.
