A consignment of drugs and injections used for bodybuilding has been seized in Vadodara city without any permission or prescription. The Vadodara Crime Branch raided a nutrition shop and found steroid tablets and testosterone hormone injections. The Crime Branch has arrested one of the accused and further investigation is underway in the matter. The doctor said that taking steroids indiscriminately without consulting a doctor can lead to multiple problems in a person's body. The Vadodara Crime Branch team interrogated the owner of the shop, Amish Kumar Ashok Kumar Kori (35, R/o Jairamnagar, Air Force Road, Makarpura, Vadodara) and said that he used to sell nutrition supplements for body building. A search of the shop led to the recovery of various brands of foreign imported steroid tablets, injection vials of testosterone hormone, box packing and small bottles. Medicines were sold unhindered without a bill or prescription
The accused said he did not have any bill or legal basis proof of these drugs. Selling these drugs without a prescription from a medical officer is injurious to human health and is being sold without a bill. The accused has been running a rented shop for the last 10 years. He has been in this business for 10 years. These medicines were sold as per the demand. When the bodybuilding competition was near, the demand would increase and accordingly he would order the goods.
