Changes in judicial structure in Valsad, 3 senior judges transferred: One judge with promotion, HC decides

The Gujarat High Court has released the names of judicial officers of the Senior Civil Judge Cadre with inter-district and inter-district transfers and promotions. The decision has had a direct impact on the judicial administration of Valsad district, where designations and responsibilities of judges in the courts of Valsad, Vapi and Kaprada have been changed. According to a notification issued by the High Court, Sonal Kunwarba Jaswant Singh Chavda, who was serving as the 2nd Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Valsad, has been transferred inter-district. He has been appointed as 2nd Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Palanpur, Banaskantha District. Kamlesh Kishanchand Nathani, who was serving as Principal Civil Judge and JMFC at Kaprada, has been promoted. After his promotion, he has been appointed as 3rd Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Vapi in Valsad district. Bharat Gangaram Popat, who was serving as 3rd Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate as part of an internal reshuffle in the Valsad Court, has now been assigned the charge of 2nd Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Valsad. Similarly, Mitaben Dilipkumar Seta, 4th Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate has been assigned the charge of 3rd Additional Senior Civil Judge and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Valsad. As per the order issued by the Registrar General, High Court of Gujarat, all the judicial officers concerned will assume charge of their new posts with effect from the 17th August, 2026. After this administrative reshuffle, there will be a change in the designation and responsibilities of judicial officers in various courts in Valsad district.
