
Surat Corporation: In the budget of Surat Municipal Corporation, India's first 160 MLD capacity water treatment plant with modern technology on ceramic membrane filtration including activated carbon has been planned in Rander zone. This plant will be the world's first Advanced Drinking Water Treatment with provision for removal of Polyfluoroalkyl substances. This plant will be based on ceramic ultra filtration membrane. Surat Municipal Corporation has dedicated and laid the foundation stone of several important projects based on modern technology for the city's water supply and environmental protection. Rander will have world's first largest 160 MLD Advanced Drinking Water Treatment Plant. The Rs 121 crore project has a facility to remove 'forever chemicals'.
