A 13-year-old boy from Vadodara recorded a record of 13 suryanamaskars in 1.19 minutes

Vadodara: A 13-year-old boy has set a record by performing 13 suryanamaskars in one minute and 19 seconds. The previous record of Suryanamaskar is in the name of adults while this is the first record in the category of children below 15 years of age.

Talking to the record-registerer, Hetanshu Jignesh Kumar Patel , he said, "I have been doing Suryanamaskar since I was five years old. One suryanskar consists of 10 asanas. When I looked at different record books, I found that there was no record in Suryanamaskar in the name of a child of my age, so I started preparing to make this record in my name. On the first day, I saw that it took me 2 minutes and a second to perform 13 suryanamaskars, which was gradually reduced to 1 minute and 19 seconds and then I registered in the India Book of Records. Vijay Prakash Joshi, a young man from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand, holds the record of performing 21 Surya Namaskars in a minute.
